Mom, Oregonian, Nerd, Civic Leader
-
I am a mom, an Oregonian, software developer, former auditor, and a self-proclaimed nerd. I moved to Beaverton in 2018 to start my family after finishing graduate school. I was moved to action by the 2020 wildfires that choked our air amidst the pandemic; I knew my one-year-old deserved a better world and I decided to get involved in creating it.
I began attending Central Beaverton Neighborhood Association meetings that month, which led to many volunteer projects in my neighborhood. Since then, I have been involved with multiple boards and volunteer opportunities with the City of Beaverton.
My kids see me going to meetings to “make the city better,” and I hope that one day, it will inspire their own civic engagement.

2024 - 2025: Transportation Ambassador for the Go Beaverton project
Transportation Ambassadors are a team of volunteers that help City of Beaverton connect with residents to inform the creation of the next Transportation System Plan. The Transportation System Plan will guide all transportation infrastructure investments that the city makes for the next 15-20 years, once adopted.
Received training on performing community outreach and traffic safety principles in order to get feedback on the transportation system Beaverton residents want and what currently exists.
Completed outreach in 2024 to get community feedback to create the vision for the new Transportation System Plan
Facilitated multiple in-person workshops during 2025 to learn more about where Beaverton residents want to go, and where feels unsafe to travel. This feedback was used by city staff to write the Community Engagement Report, outlining how people travel and where they want safer streets.

At the end of 2025, I decided to step away from work and focus on family, and making Beaverton the best city it can be.
I am running for City Council because I’m ready to bring my civic experience to serve all my neighbors in Beaverton.
I get excited reading through budgets, city code, community plans, and transportation system updates, knowing that local government is the root of progress.
